Two men from Bacau caught in the act trying to bribe a police officer

The Bacău Police Inspectorate announced that a 22-year-old young man and a 53-year-old man were caught in the act on Thursday while trying to bribe a police officer with the sum of 2,500 euros. The two men attempted to obtain the police officer's intervention to favorably resolve a criminal case related to a traffic offense, aiming to recover the driving license.

The intention to bribe was reported by the involved police officer, which led to the organization of a flagrant capture operation by his colleagues. After being caught in the act, the two were taken to the Prosecutor's Office next to the Bacău Tribunal for further investigation.

This action underscores the authorities' commitment to combating corruption within law enforcement agencies.
