Two doctors from the 'dr. Fogolyan Kristof' County Emergency Hospital in Sfântu Gheorghe have been sent to trial for involuntary manslaughter, intellectual forgery, and forgery in official documents. According to the Prosecutor's Office next to the Covasna Tribunal, the first doctor, as the on-call physician, failed to perform the necessary anamnesis and investigations for a patient who died in December 2024.
He is accused of falsifying the medical file to exonerate himself, stating that the patient had no subjective complaints, even though he had not left the hospital. The second doctor is accused of not performing the necessary investigations during his shift, thus contributing to the patient's death. Authorities emphasize that the individuals under investigation benefit from the rights provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure and the presumption of innocence.
