The extension of Tudor Arghezi Park will be named "Donald Trump" following the online vote, announces Daniel Băluță / USR accuses vote fraud.

The Mayor of Sector 4, Daniel Băluță, declared that the expansion of Tudor Arghezi Park will bear the name "Donald Trump", after the option received the most votes in an online vote organized by the City Hall. Additionally, the Berceni Arena ice rink will be named "Doru Tureanu", in honor of the legend of Romanian hockey.

Băluță thanked the over 116,000 participants in the vote, emphasizing that the decision will be implemented soon.

However, local USR councilor Paul Ene accused that the vote was fraudulent, mentioning that the number of votes suddenly increased from 30,000 to 70,000 in a single night.

"I am sure that on Saturday night, people could not enjoy themselves peacefully without Băluță's park strip being named after Trump," explained Paul Ene, USR councilor.

Ene criticized the voting platform, stating that it was insecure and easily manipulated, and many citizens could not vote due to technical issues.

He suggested that Băluță should abandon the proposed names and resign from his position.

We remind you that after initiating the public consultation, the proposal to name the park "Maia Sandu" gathered the most votes, with 56% of the votes, followed by Donald Trump with 27% and Barack Obama with 10%.
