An accident between a tram and a bus in Bucharest has left 8 people injured, and the tram service on line 41 is blocked.

On Tuesday, a traffic accident occurred in Bucharest, at the intersection of Brașov Street and Drumul Taberei, involving a tram from line 41 and a STB bus. According to ISU Bucharest-Ilfov, 8 people were injured, all of whom were conscious, and 7 of them requested transport to the hospital.

Emergency crews and a special vehicle for transporting multiple victims intervened at the scene. STB confirmed that the tram collided with the bus that was heading towards Valea Ialomiței, and as a result of the impact, passengers received medical care. Tram traffic on line 41 is blocked, and a shuttle line, number 641, has been established to ensure transport between Piața Presei and Ghencea. STB has initiated an internal investigation, and the Police of the Road Brigade is investigating the causes of the accident.
