The Sector 1 Court resumes discussions in the case of Traian Băsescu, who is seeking the recovery of the protocol villa and other lost benefits. The Constitutional Court decided in July 2025 that the legislative amendments that withdrew these rights are unconstitutional. Băsescu has filed a lawsuit against RA-APPS to obtain a protocol residence, a monthly allowance, and other rights. The government has confirmed that the former president will receive a protocol house in the northern area of the Capital.
