On the night of Sunday to Monday, September 7-8, 2025, Romania will witness a total lunar eclipse, also known as the 'Blood Moon'. The eclipse will begin at 8:30 PM and will last approximately 82 minutes, during which the Moon will take on a reddish hue due to the filtering of sunlight through the Earth's atmosphere. The 'Admiral Vasile Urseanu' Astronomical Observatory will be open to the public to observe the phenomenon, and the best viewing conditions are in areas with clear skies. This eclipse will be the last of its kind in 2025, visible not only from Romania but also from other parts of the world.
