At Henri Coandă International Airport in Bucharest, border police detected three Romanians and five Indians attempting to illegally transport excise goods. They had hidden in their luggage over 35,000 cigarettes and 110 kilograms of chewing tobacco, without declaring them. The Romanians were fined 15,000 lei, while the Indians had their long-stay visas revoked and were banned from entering Romania for five years. Actions continue to combat smuggling and ensure legality at border crossing points.
