The authority found that Thelios, which is the exclusive producer and distributor of luxury products of the LVMH group (including Louis Vuitton) in Romania, together with its partner Shades Originators SRL, have limited the online sales of these products through the applied commercial policy. This policy has led to the prohibition of selling luxury glasses through the retailer's online store, thus affecting competition in the market. Following the denunciation of these anti-competitive practices, Shades Originators SRL benefited from total immunity from fines. The Competition Council emphasizes that the law prohibits any agreements that restrict competition in Romania.
