The Vodafone Foundation has launched the fourth phase of the "Life Fund for Newborns" program, allocating 1.5 million lei for equipping neonatal and neonatal intensive care units in Romania. Public hospitals can apply for funding of up to 300,000 lei through projects submitted until February 25, 2026.
The program aims to ensure access to quality medical services for newborns, already having a significant impact in the first three editions, equipping 19 medical units. In 2023, the Foundation implemented telemedicine solutions in 17 neonatal intensive care units. Project evaluations will be conducted by a board of directors and external experts, and the results will be announced on April 17, 2026. The Vodafone Foundation, active in the field of neonatology for 12 years, contributes to reducing infant mortality in Romania, which has decreased from 10‰ to 6.4‰.
