Horațiu Potra, the head of the mercenaries, made veiled threats to Klaus Iohannis, suggesting that he could have destabilized Bucharest.

Potra was stopped by the police on his way to Bucharest on the pretext that he was going to take a tenth grade physics test. He escaped judicial control in a case of failure to comply with the arms and ammunition regime, although prosecutors had asked for his remand in custody. According to sources, Potra is close to Călin Georgescu.
