Starting December 13, the STB line 196 will extend its route, providing a direct connection between Basarab Station-North Station and Filaret Bus Station.

The Intercommunity Development Association for Public Transport Bucharest – Ilfov (TPBI) announced that, starting from Saturday, December 13, 2025, the STB line 196 will have an extended route that will connect Basarab Station-North Station with Filaret Bus Station.

The route modification will include an extension from the Chirigiu area to the bus station, thus facilitating access for Bucharest residents to public transport. The new route will include stops such as Bd. Dinicu Golescu, Str. Witting, Calea Plevnei, and others, ensuring efficient and direct circulation. TPBI urges travelers to pay attention to these changes that will come into effect on Saturday.
