The simple motion on Education, titled "Education in emergency and abandonment. How students are transformed into budget collateral", was rejected on Monday by the Senate plenary, with 44 votes in favor, 74 against, and two abstentions. Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan emphasized the need to increase the budget for education, correlated with improving quality, stating that the allocated funds must be a real investment.

He presented the financing figures for education, highlighting a constant budgetary effort, but acknowledged that a substantial increase in the budget cannot be achieved quickly. The initiators of the motion accused the government of austerity, emphasizing that scholarships only cover part of the students' needs, and state support is insufficient. They criticized the current policy, which, in their opinion, does not reflect the real costs of education.
