The SANITAS unionists announced a protest in Bucharest, categorically rejecting the project of the new salary law, which they consider unfair, incomplete, and deeply unfavorable to employees in the public health and social assistance systems. They argue that the incomes for more than half of the employees will be capped or even decreased.

The protest, authorized to start at 10:00 AM, will take place in Victory Square, where hundreds of employees from various counties are heading to the capital. The unionists claim that the project does not respect the commitments discussed with the government, and the reduction of bonuses affects the real incomes of employees who work under difficult conditions. SANITAS demands the withdrawal of the project in its current form and the resumption of negotiations, warning the government that it cannot expect stability from employees while reducing their incomes.
