The Sanitary Solidarity Federation announced on Monday that the salary law project is incomplete and requests the Government to continue consultations with employees in the healthcare system, postponing the final decision until August 2026. A survey conducted among members showed that 61.3% of respondents consider it likely that they will leave the system if the project does not undergo changes.
Union members have identified risks such as the lack of guarantees for total income, distortions in bonuses, and inequities in the salary grid. Additionally, 93.9% of employees demand income protection, while 90.6% request the indexing of the reference value with inflation. The Federation has called for the updating of information regarding the changes to the project, the initiation of a second stage of consultations, and the assessment of the impact of the salary reform. Union members emphasize that health cannot be treated as a mere accounting issue and that the reform must correct existing inequities.
