Adrian Luca, first vice president of the Chamber of Tax Consultants, announced that the tax administration in Romania will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to verify the incomes and expenses of Romanians. The algorithms can analyze the information available on the internet and social networks, using the taxpayer's name to compare expenses with declared incomes.
By exemplifying the efficiency of the tax administration in Finland, Adrian Luca mentioned that by 2030 it will have a fully automated ecosystem capable of monitoring transactions in real time. AI will scan social networks to identify business relationships and taxpayer behaviors. He also emphasized that clients are already using AI to verify tax consultants. In this context, the Chamber of Tax Consultants will organize a Taxation and Technology Summit in November 2025, where representatives of the European Commission, the Ministry of Finance, and the business environment will participate.
