The Romanian Naval Forces have neutralized a YaRM-type naval mine, discovered on the beach between the localities of Vama Veche and 2 Mai. The object was reported through a call to the emergency number 112 around 14:45, according to the Ministry of National Defense.

Military EOD divers, specialized in combating explosive devices, arrived at the scene starting at 15:45, where the 'Dobrogea' Emergency Situations Inspectorate implemented security procedures for the area.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Romanian Naval Forces have neutralized a total of nine naval mines out of the 156 discovered in the Black Sea basin, thus highlighting the ongoing activity to ensure maritime security in the region.
