At the recent meetings in Ruse, the Romanian and Bulgarian authorities requested the blocking of the incinerator project, considered problematic. The Bulgarian Ambassador to Romania, Radko Vlaikov, participated in the discussions and emphasized the importance of this subject, presenting it to his colleagues, ambassadors of the EU member states in Bucharest. These discussions took place during a meeting with the state secretary from the Romanian Prime Minister's office, responsible for environmental issues. Authorities from both countries express concern about the potential impact of the incinerator on the environment and public health.
