He emphasized that God gives us the freedom to approach Him without turning faith into an electoral spectacle. In the context of funding for the Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation, the president clarified that he has never attacked this initiative, but criticized the unjustified expenditures of the past. He explained that, although he did not allocate funds for the Cathedral in 2021, subsequently, in the years 2022-2023, there was a pragmatic attitude to support historical monuments, culminating in the allocation of 20 million lei for the consecration of the Cathedral in 2025.
