With 302 votes in favor, 2 against, and 0 abstentions, the Parliament adopted the bill approving the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 128/2024, which amends and completes Law no. 227/2015 regarding the Fiscal Code. The Chamber of Deputies, as the decision-making body, maintained the amendments of the Ministry of Finance, which simplify the rules for using the RO e-Invoice system and reduce bureaucracy for individuals and certain categories of taxpayers.

Thus, cultural institutions and individual farmers are exempt from the obligation to use the RO e-Invoice, considering the difficulties in accessing the system. Additionally, individuals identified by their CNP will no longer be required to use this system, which will remain optional. The amendments were supported by PSD, PNL, USR, AUR, and UDMR.
