The Oradea City Hall rejected all 115 routes proposed by the organizers of Oradea Pride, but supporters of the movement announced that they will take to the streets on July 25.

The movement has received support from the mayors of Budapest and Paris, and six religious leaders from Bihor issued a joint statement which, although it does not explicitly mention the demonstration, calls for respect for every person and condemns hatred. The document, signed by bishops and pastors from various denominations, states that every person has an inalienable dignity, but considers homosexual relationships incompatible with Christian teachings.

The organizers of Oradea Pride, including the associations ARK Oradea and ACCEPT, have confirmed that the demonstration will take place despite the municipality's refusal, being supported by over 150 international organizations. Representatives of diplomatic missions and the Ombudsman Institution will be present to monitor the events. The mayors of Budapest and Paris criticized the decision of the Oradea authorities, emphasizing the importance of the freedom of assembly and the dignity of every person.
