The General Mayor Ciprian Ciucu declared that the modernization project of the United Nations Boulevard has entered the implementation phase, with works that include increasing green areas, installing new street furniture, and reorganizing public space. The project aims to eliminate parking on sidewalks, promoting the concept of 'park city' in the center of Bucharest.

The works began with the rehabilitation of the parking lot at the end of the boulevard and will continue towards the Palace of the Parliament. Ciucu emphasized that, within a maximum of two months, the area will undergo significant transformations, becoming greener and more accessible.

After the completion of the works on the United Nations Boulevard, the rehabilitation of 13 September Street, which is in a precarious state, will begin. The mayor mentioned that, as the PMB institutions adapt to the new requirements, the pace of the works will increase, contributing to the improvement of the city.
