In a recent statement in Parliament, Bogdan Ivan emphasized that the intervention on the hydroelectric arrangement at Vidraru was inevitable and could no longer be postponed, despite the difficulties encountered on the ground. The minister acknowledged that the project has generated problems for local communities, but stressed the importance of modernization to ensure the efficient operation of the hydroelectric plant. Ivan highlighted that this work is essential for the development of energy infrastructure and to meet current energy demands.

Bogdan Ivan: "Experts have found a solution to work with divers in extremely complicated and risky conditions for those people. They have committed to finish all that work by March 31 so that, from March 31, when the warm season comes, the snow melts on the mountain and precipitation automatically comes, to start refilling the Vidraru lake."
