The Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, announced a comprehensive reorganization of the Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity, which will reduce the number of agencies from four to two. This change, the first of its kind in over 20 years, aims to simplify the functioning of the institution and increase the efficiency of the services offered to citizens.
The four current agencies - the Labor Inspection, the National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection, the National House of Public Pensions, and the National Agency for Employment - will be merged into the National Authority for Inspection and Control in the Field of Labor and Social Security (ANICDMSS) and the National House of Public Pensions, Employment and Payments (CNPPOP).
ANICDMSS will have a control role, while CNPPOP will handle the management of payments, including pensions and unemployment benefits. The reorganization will reduce bureaucracy and the number of management positions, without affecting the existing staff. The new structures will be established by government decision within 60 days.
