The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, stated that by the end of the year, hospitals will be reclassified into three categories: category I, category II, and category III, replacing the five existing categories. He emphasized that this process will not lead to the closure of hospitals, but rather to a reorganization of them at different levels.

During the Health Innovation Forum, the minister mentioned that the procedure for reorganizing healthcare units has been initiated, including the introduction of a new category of strategic hospitals. Rogobete criticized the current model of hospital organization, considering it outdated and not reflecting the complexity of medical cases and the needs of patients.
