During a press conference, Bogdan Ivan, the Minister of Energy, announced the convening of the Minister's Control Body to initiate an investigation into unbilled electricity deliveries. Ivan emphasized that he will not tolerate such practices and that he will take measures against those responsible, regardless of their status.

The investigation was triggered following a report published by Recorder, which revealed that Hidroelectrica had supplied unbilled electricity for two years to companies owned by politicians and religious entities, causing a damage of nearly 2 million euros. Ivan requested both the report from the Court of Accounts and a detailed check from the Control Body, promising that all those involved in breaking the law will be held accountable.
