On the occasion of World Education Day, the Minister of Education Daniel David emphasizes the need to reform the educational system to combat functional illiteracy and ensure a sustainable future for Romania.

Daniel David stated that education must adapt to global changes to avoid stagnation and regression of civilization. He highlighted the current difficulties in the educational system and proposed a long-term pact to increase the budget allocated to education and research. The minister emphasized the importance of maintaining both fields under the same national authority and adopting the best European practices to turn crises into opportunities for progress.
