The Romanian government approved on Thursday the Strategy for Better Regulation 2026-2034, a document that establishes a new framework for the development and adoption of public decisions.

This strategy proposes that normative acts be based on complex analyses, to promote "transparency" and "citizen involvement" and "the business environment".

A significant change is the transformation of the platform "e-consultare.gov.ro" into a single access point for all public consultations organized by the central administration. The document, coordinated by the General Secretariat of the Government, will be implemented through an action plan with measures, deadlines, and performance indicators.

The government emphasizes that the strategy continues the reforms from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and aligns Romania with the standards of the European Commission and OECD.

The main objective is the adoption of "quality public decisions, made transparently and for the benefit of citizens and a competitive economy," according to a government statement.
