The government has adopted an ordinance through which administrative-territorial units can guarantee the loans of heating operators for the purchase of the fuel necessary for supplying thermal energy in a centralized system.

Ioana Dogioiu, the spokesperson for the Government, announced that through an emergency ordinance, the administrative-territorial units can guarantee the loans of heating service operators for the purchase of the fuel necessary for supplying thermal energy in the upcoming winter. This measure is necessary because, previously, local units could not guarantee loans under conditions where annual debts exceeded 30% of the average own revenues from the last three years.
