In a recent meeting, the Government allocated 168 million lei for 74 cultural institutions under the authority of local authorities from 34 counties, an amount representing 2% of the income tax collected between June and August 2025. These funds are intended for theaters, operas, philharmonics, and other cultural centers that do not receive direct funding from the Ministry of Culture. This is the second tranche of financial support granted this year, following a previous allocation of 231 million lei.
