The U.S. Department of Justice has released a new tranche of documents from Jeffrey Epstein's case, containing approximately 3 million pages, including correspondence and evidence gathered by the FBI. Among these documents are mentions of Romania, indicating that nearly two-thirds of women trafficked for prostitution worldwide came from Eastern Europe, including Romania. The files contain correspondence between Epstein and Romanian women, as well as details about a Romanian who recruited girls for his network. There are also mentions of bank transactions related to a woman from Iași and references to Romanian women in the context of illegal parties on Epstein's island. Two Romanians, Ion Nicola and Corina Tarniță, are explicitly named, with Tarniță manipulating payments from Epstein.
