The education unions are asking the Minister of Education, Daniel David, to clarify the legal reasons for which teachers' salaries were reduced in September 2025. This reduction is attributed to the modification of the calculation algorithm for the neuropsychic overload bonus in the EduSAL program. The unions emphasize that there are no recent normative acts to justify these changes and demand an official explanation for the reduction of teachers' salary rights. It is also mentioned that bonuses are capped at the level from 2018, according to Emergency Ordinance no. 156/2024.
