Bogdan Mătușoiu, a dentist from Pitești, was stopped by the Bucharest Gendarmerie after being accused of trying to enter the Russian Embassy gate with his car. The Gendarmerie claimed that the man had a suspended license and was under the influence of drugs. However, the Sector 1 Court Prosecutor's Office contradicted this information, stating that Mătușoiu did not have a suspended license and had not consumed prohibited substances.
The doctor explained that he arrived at the embassy due to a GPS error, having no connection to the institution. Although a criminal case was opened for driving without a license and under the influence of substances, Mătușoiu stated that he possesses a document certifying his right to drive, but he could not find it at the time of the check. He emphasized that he does not consume drugs or alcohol for professional reasons and accused the press of damaging his public image.
