The DNA prosecutors have opened a case in which a defendant requested 180,000 euros from a witness, promising that he would use his influence over the judges of the Bucharest Tribunal to obtain a favorable solution in a businessman’s case. During a meeting in a tourist complex in the Danube Delta, the defendant received 60,000 euros, at which point he was caught in the act. He will be presented to the Bucharest Court of Appeal with a proposal for preventive arrest, and investigations continue for other involved parties.
