The Zoo in Craiova announced the death of one of the two white tigers, the incident occurring two weeks ago, but the information was only confirmed recently. According to the Eco Urbis society, the cause of death was the accidental ingestion of plastic packaging thrown by visitors into the animal's enclosure. Although the tiger had not shown signs of illness, the ingestion of foreign materials led to its unexpected death.

Eco Urbis emphasized the importance of respecting visiting rules and warned visitors not to feed the animals, as this behavior can have serious consequences for their health. The Zoo has placed informative panels to educate the public about animal welfare.
