Victor Peţa, the president of the Free Union of Aircraft in Craiova, warns that penalties due to delays in the modernization of IAR 99 aircraft could lead to the disaster of the company. He emphasizes that the delays are due to external circumstances, such as the pandemic and the war in Ukraine. Although five aircraft have been completed, their delivery is delayed due to the delay of equipment from the Elbit company. Peţa mentions that the penalties would also affect other contracts, including the modernization of Spartan aircraft, and that Avioane Craiova is essential for the equipping program of the Armed Forces.
