On November 17, 2025, the Cotroceni Palace was illuminated in violet to mark the National Day of Prematurely Born Children. Mirabela Grădinaru, partner of President Nicușor Dan and mother of two prematurely born children, attended the event organized as part of the social project "Romania in Light." She emphasized the importance of empathy and the right of every child to life and health. The project "Romania in Light," initiated by the Romanian Association for Long-Term Hospitalized Newborns, aims to address essential themes for the health and well-being of children and young people.
