The Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, stated that the decision of the Constitutional Court regarding the pensions of magistrates is a signal of correctness awaited by society, contributing to the normalization of the system. This reform will allow Romania to reduce expenses on special pensions, redirecting resources to essential areas such as infrastructure, education, and health, which will improve public services and stimulate economic growth.

Nazare emphasizes the importance of restoring relations with the European Commission to ensure the necessary European funds. The CCR's decision will help Romania to show and demonstrate its capacity to implement reforms, although delays in their application could cost the country 231 million euros from the PNRR. Controlling expenses and attracting European funds remain priorities for economic stability.
