Buzău: Firefighters intervened to evacuate water from a flooded school. Teaching activities were suspended for approximately 60 students.

The firefighters from Buzău were called to intervene for the evacuation of accumulated water in the premises of Gymnasium School No. 1 in the locality of Sărulești. The Buzău Inspectorate for Emergency Situations announced that a crew from the Buzău Fire Department went to the scene with a special vehicle, two water pumps, and two firefighters.

According to the information received, the school is partially flooded, with a water level of approximately 20 cm, which has led to the suspension of educational activities for about 60 students.

The firefighters and local authorities are working to evacuate the water and limit the effects of the flooding.

Buzău County was under an orange code meteorological warning, with torrential downpours and wind intensifications, which is why the leadership of ISU Buzău activated the operational group and the County Center for Command and Coordination of Intervention to efficiently manage emergency situations.
