The Bucharest Tribunal has decided to reject the action filed in court by Antena Group against Chef Florin Dumitrescu, who is seeking damages of 100,000 euros for breaching a contractual clause related to online campaigns. Antena Group accused Dumitrescu of conducting 26 advertising campaigns for the Breitling watch brand without the written consent of the television station. During the trial, Dumitrescu argued that, throughout his collaboration with Antena, he was never asked for prior approval for his posts on social media.

The court noted that for seven years, Antena did not contest these posts, and the action was initiated only after the collaboration was terminated. The judge considered that Antena used the clause as a pressure tool, given that it had not invoked it earlier, despite the numerous posts made by Dumitrescu. The decision is not final and can be appealed.
