The crime in Teleorman: The Attorney General of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice (PÎCCJ) has decided to notify the Judicial Inspection to investigate a prosecutor from the Turnu Măgurele Court Prosecutor's Office, accused of "serious negligence" in the performance of their duties.

This decision was made following a review that analyzed a criminal case opened after a woman from Teleorman, who was later killed by her husband, reported that she had been raped by him. The review highlighted significant deficiencies in the activities of the police and the prosecutor regarding the coordination and supervision of the case. The High Court of Cassation and Justice also notified the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the irregularities found at the police level. The woman was killed on November 8, in front of their three-year-old son, shortly after she had obtained a protection order against her husband.
