The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued an orange alert for torrential rain for the counties of Vâlcea, Argeș, Dâmbovița and the mountainous area of Gorj and Prahova, valid from Saturday, May 16, at 14:00, until Sunday, May 17, at 10:00. In these areas, water quantities of 40–60 l/m² are expected, with possible accumulations of over 70 l/m².
Additionally, a yellow alert for significant atmospheric instability is in effect for 19 counties and the municipality of Bucharest, with torrential rain of 20–40 l/m², valid from Sunday, May 17, at 10:00, until 21:00. ANM has also issued a meteorological advisory for atmospheric instability, hail, and thunderstorms, valid until Sunday evening. The weather will cool significantly, and in Bucharest, torrential rain and storm conditions are forecasted, with maximum temperatures of 15-17 degrees.
