The ANM has issued nowcasting warnings of Yellow Code and Orange Code for storms, gusts, and hail. List of affected localities

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued on Monday, July 20, 2026, several orange and yellow nowcasting warnings for severe weather phenomena, valid in several counties across the country. Meteorologists warn of torrential rains, hail, thunderstorms, and lightning strikes.

In Constanța County, the orange warning is valid from 16:15 to 17:00 and targets the localities of Hârșova, Ciobanu, Crucea, Ghindărești, Topalu, Pantelimon, Saraiu, Horia, and Vulturu. Torrential downpours are forecasted to accumulate 25-30 l/m², hail with a diameter of 2-4 cm, frequent lightning strikes, and wind intensifications with gusts of 50-70 km/h.

An orange warning has also been issued for Vâlcea County, where the municipalities of Râmnicu Vâlcea and the localities of Călimănești, Stoenești, Costești, Bărbătești, Păușești-Măglași, Bujoreni, Băile Olănești, Bunești, Muereasca, Dăești, and Vlădești are affected. Meteorologists announce torrential downpours with accumulations of 25-40 l/m², hail, lightning strikes, and strong wind gusts.

In Mureș County, the yellow warning is valid from 15:25 to 16:30 and targets the municipality of Târgu Mureș, as well as the localities of Târnăveni, Luduș, Iernut, Ungheni, Band, Sâncraiu de Mureș, Adămuș, Pănet, Cristești, Ceuașu de Câmpie, Acățari, Mica, Crăciunești, Gănești, Bahnea, Sânpaul, Sântana de Mureș, Zau de Câmpie, Chețani, Gheorghe Doja, Suplac, Sângeorgiu de Mureș, Ogra, Cuci, Iclănzel, Cucerdea, Bogata, Vișoara, Corunca, Ațintiș, Coroișănmărtin, Mădăraș, Zăgar, Bichiș, Tăureni, and Papiu Ilarian. In these areas, torrential downpours are expected with accumulations of 15-25 l/m², lightning strikes, small hail, and wind intensifications with speeds of 50-60 km/h.

Also under a yellow warning is Gorj County, from 15:00 to 16:00. The municipality of Târgu Jiu and the localities of Bumbești-Jiu, Bălești, Runcu, Crasna, Scoarța, Stănești, Bălănești, Mușetești, Turcinești, Schela, Săcelu, Lelești, and Arcani are targeted. Here, torrential downpours, lightning strikes, small hail, and wind gusts of up to 50-60 km/h are forecasted.

Meanwhile, a strong storm has already caused flooding in Bușteni, where water has covered portions of DN1 and several streets in the resort, hindering traffic and causing problems in the area.
