The interim Minister of Justice, Cătălin Predoiu, has sent a reform project for the National Integrity Agency (ANI) to Parliament, which stipulates that the asset and interest declarations of officials will no longer be published. This decision comes after a ruling by the Constitutional Court in May 2025, which established that certain parts of these declarations violate the right to private life. Although the CCR did not impose total secrecy of the declarations, Parliament has not updated the legislation, and the declarations have not been published since then.

Predoiu's project maintains the secrecy, and former minister Radu Marinescu criticized the absence of provisions for the publicity of the declarations in the new project, mentioning that he left an Emergency Ordinance that included these measures. The project stipulates that 46 categories of officials, including the president, prime minister, and ministers, must submit declarations, but without publicity. The CCR's decision has been contested by some politicians, including mayor Nicușor Dan, who emphasized the importance of transparency in public office.
