The victims, aged between 30, 60, and 80 years, were found on a hiking trail and in a residence in the area. Although authorities have not disclosed the identities of the victims, they issued a warning for local residents to be cautious. Following the incident, schools in the Wayne district were closed, and a local clinic and the court in Loa suspended operations. Wayne County, with a population of about 2,500 residents, is a popular destination for hikers due to its proximity to the national parks of Capitol Reef and Canyonlands.
