On the morning of May 23, 2025, a tragic incident, possibly a suicide attempt, resulted in the death of one person, according to witnesses, at the Union Square 2 station. Train traffic was temporarily reorganized and the platform was encircled for safety. Metrorex announced that trains started running normally after almost two hours, although some delays persisted. An investigation has been opened to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
