The Special Telecommunications Service (STS) celebrates the European Day of the Single Emergency Number 112 and 22 years since its operationalization in Romania, by illuminating in red over 140 buildings across the country, including public institutions and tourist attractions. The event, now in its 5th edition, will take place on February 11, 2026, and aims to promote the responsible use of the number 112.

In 2025, the citizens of Romania demonstrated a high level of responsibility in calling this number, contributing to the efficiency of the emergency service. STS thanks the institutions and partners who support this initiative. In Bucharest, iconic buildings such as the Cotroceni Palace, the Palace of Parliament, and the Arch of Triumph will be illuminated.
