On Monday, the county of Sălaj was hit by strong thunderstorms with wind gusts of 70-90 km/h, which caused damage in the town of Jibou. Two roofs were blown off, damaging six cars and a balcony, and one person was trapped in an overturned container and rescued by firefighters. Weather warnings for gales and heavy downpours have been issued for the whole area.
