The Bucharest Transport Company (STB) announced that, starting from December 24, 2025, buses will no longer run on the tram tracks, but on the roadway, due to weather warnings issued by the National Meteorological Administration. This decision was made in the context of the forecast predicting mixed precipitation, ice, blizzard snow, and wind intensifications, which could create difficulties in braking and risks of slipping on the tram tracks.

During this period, buses will only stop at bus stops located at the curb, not at those shared with trams. This measure is temporary, and the return of buses to the tram tracks will be announced depending on the weather evolution. Passengers are advised to constantly check public transport circulation through the InfoTB application and the official STB channels.
