The spokesperson of the SRI, Ovidiu Marincea, stated that Romania, along with other Eastern European countries, is the target of aggressions from the Russian Federation, which aim to undermine public order and diminish the support given to Ukraine. A recent action by the Romanian authorities thwarted an attempt at sabotage targeting the Ukrainian courier company NOVA POST, essential for connecting Ukrainians who have left the country with those who remain at home. Two Ukrainians, under the coordination of Russian secret services, were arrested for their intention to set fire to the company's headquarters in Bucharest, where homemade explosive devices were found. Marincea emphasized the excellent cooperation between the law enforcement structures in Romania and those in the region to counteract Russian destabilizing actions.
