Cornel Sandu, the head of the Alba County School Inspectorate, made serious accusations against some schools that would leave eighth-grade students failing or would advise them not to take the National Assessment, in order not to affect the institution's statistics.

These practices would occur both in rural and urban areas. Sandu explained that, although students who take the exam have priority in the national allocation, some schools discourage those with poor results, telling them that it is not necessary to enroll. For example, out of a class of ten students, only four enrolled for the exam, while the others were convinced not to participate.

This situation raises serious questions about how some schools manage results and about the pressures exerted on students with weaker performance, who should receive support instead of being excluded from statistics.
